One of the best Sri Lankan female singers Latha Walpola turned 78 today (Nov. 11).
She was born on 11 November 1934.
A felicitation for Mrs. Walpola will take place at the Folk Art Centre at Katubedda in Moratuwa on November 13.
UNP deputy leader Karu Jayasuriya, accompanied by Dr. Wasantha Jayasuriya, visited the songstress’s Thalangama North, Malabe home and extended birthday greetings.
