Enforce law on milk powder companies- health alliance
Health Services trade union alliance says that legal action must be taken against the milk powder companies.

They point out out that a necessity of enforcing the law in order to save the people from milk powder which contains poisonous material.

The alliance also say that although the health ministry has notified some milk powder companies to call back their products from the market, it is problematic that it has taken a long time to take that step.

Specially when the reports confirming the contamination of DCD in milk powder were released on the 26th July, the alliance say that the health ministry has waited till the 6th August to take an action.

The president of the health alliance Mr. Saman Rathnapriya says that sending the milk power samples to a Thai laboratory when it was confirmed DCD positive locally is not acceptable.
